I use computational approaches to analyse single-neuron recordings and local field potentials in the human medial temporal lobe, studying how neural firing, oscillations, and interactions between regions support cognitive processes.
Muthu Jeyanthi Prakash
Muthu Jeyanthi Prakash is a PhD student affiliated with the IMPRS MMFD program, studying interactions within Medial Temporal Lobe regions during working memory and context dependent visual processing. She has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Biotechnology from Anna University, India and an International Masters in Neurosciences from the University of Bordeaux, France. She has experience in computational research from internships at the Bordeaux Population Health Center, Radboud University and Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. In essence, her interests lie in utilizing interdisciplinary methods to deepen our understanding of neural mechanisms supporting cognition.
