Quantitative Biomedical Image Analysis

Our research group develops AI methods to extract quantitative, biologically meaningful information from biomedical imaging across scales, from whole-brain MRI to microscopy and histology. We design robust, transparent algorithms for segmentation, registration, and multimodal integration that link imaging phenotypes with molecular, cellular, and clinical data. By building open-source tools and benchmarking them in international challenges, we aim to translate advanced image analysis into clinically useful biomarkers, improve diagnosis and treatment planning in brain disease, and deepen our understanding of the mechanisms underlying brain pathology.
