AI and large-scale neural data analysis have the potential to transform how we understand and treat brain disease. My dual expertise as a medical doctor specializing in neurology and neuroscientist is what drives our group's mission: to understand how neural mechanisms generate cognition and behaviour — and how their disruption leads to disease. Combining brain signals at multiple scales, from intracerebral recordings in neurosurgical patients to clinical EEG and patient data, with cutting-edge machine learning, we work to translate these insights into AI-driven tools that meaningfully improve diagnosis and treatment.
How the human brain gives rise to cognition—and how these processes break down in neurological and psychiatric disorders—is one of science's greatest challenges. We harness AI to translate brain activity into biological insight and clinical understanding.
