Dr. Georgia Koppe
Georgia Koppe develops computational models of how brain activity, behavior, and mental states evolve, adapt, and can be guided over time. Her research connects machine learning, nonlinear dynamical systems, neuroimaging, mobile health, and computational psychiatry to uncover mechanisms behind psychiatric symptoms and individual trajectories. A central focus is moving from prediction to control: using interpretable models and optimal control strategies to design personalized, adaptive interventions. Continual learning plays a key role, enabling models to update as people and environments change. At the interface of NeuroAI and precision psychiatry, this work aims to make mental health technologies more mechanistic, responsive, and individualized.
