Hertie AI Fellow Program & Independent Research Groups  

The Hertie AI Fellow program brings together outstanding external researchers who enrich the Hertie AI community with their expertise, perspectives, and innovative work. As affiliated members, the Fellows contribute to the Hertie AI network that bridges disciplines, institutions, and countries. Through this program, Hertie AI fosters deep interdisciplinary exchange and active collaboration with leading international researchers. 

The Hertie AI support excellent postdocs who are leading their own research group for the first time in building their independent scientific careers. Through our Independent Research Groups, we provide them with the opportunity to pursue innovative approaches in data science and artificial intelligence to advance their own research projects. We foster knowledge exchange and provide access to cutting-edge algorithms and interdisciplinary resources, enabling them to address scientific and clinical questions while developing sustainable, independent research.
