What came first: dynamical systems or computations? Probably neither, but it’s fun to study both.
Aleksejs Timčenko

Alex is a PhD student in the Data Science group at Hertie AI and the IMPRS-MMFD graduate school. He is interested how brain cell populations process dynamic visual information. Alex explores neural manifolds ideas, applying different dimensionality reduction techniques to neural data. He then uses latent neural trajectories to decode visual stimuli from brain data.
