Generalizability isn't just a goal—it's the key to making our research meaningful, reliable, and relevant beyond the confines of a single dataset.
Marina Lex
Marina is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and associated with the Department of Machine Learning at the Hertie Institute for AI in Brain Health at the University of Tübingen. Her research focuses on investigating the generalizability of brain-phenotype associations by systematically analyzing data from two large cohort studies, the UK Biobank and the NAKO Health Study. By comparing prediction models of various phenotypes based on different neuroimaging modalities, she aims to gain insights into the transferability of these models to other populations and identify the factors crucial for ensuring generalizability.
Generalizability isn't just a goal—it's the key to making our research meaningful, reliable, and relevant beyond the confines of a single dataset.
