Science Slam – AI Edition: Tübingen Talks Tech
On June 5th, 2025, Hertie AI postdoc Lisa Schmors presented her research at the Science Slam – AI Edition as part of "Tübingen Talks Tech." The event featured 10-minute presentations where doctoral candidates and postdocs from the University of Tübingen shared their work in an entertaining and accessible format. The event was organized by the Tübingen AI PhD und Postdoc Assembly (TAPPA) and supported by the Excellence Cluster "Machine Learning: New Perspectives for Science" and the Rhet AI Center.
In her talk "Thalamus Thought Traffic" Lisa showed how she used machine learning to understand complex computations in the brain and - vice versa - how insights from neuroscience can inspire more robust AI algorithms.
“It was a fun experience and I am glad that I had the opportunity to communicate my research to the public in an accessible and entertaining way.”
