Future Festival 2026: Meeting our KI-Campus partners

A few Hertie AI members attended the University:Future Festival 2026 in Berlin, one of the largest events dedicated to the future of higher education. Held under the theme "Under Pressure", the festival brought together educators, researchers, policymakers and practitioners to discuss topics including innovative teaching & learning, future skills, technological developments in education and beyond, megatrends, long-term change, AI competencies, data and media literacy, learning analytics, student-centered approaches, change management and the future of universities.

Beyond the inspiring talks and discussions, the festival offered excellent opportunities to network and exchange ideas with colleagues from across the higher education community. A particular highlight was participating in the BMFTR-funded KI-Campus project meetup, where we had the chance to meet many project partners in person and strengthen existing collaborations.

We return with many new ideas, valuable conversations and fresh perspectives that will inform and enrich our ongoing work.
