Winning "Use of AI" Award
From Idea to Prototype: A Month at the Cyber Valley Incubator
Over the past four weeks, Ifeoma Nwabufo, a PhD student from the Hertie AI, teamed up with Ornela Megne to join the Cyber Valley AI Incubator Program.
This program is designed for young AI researchers to learn how to launch their own AI start-up: from the product-market fit, the business strategy, funding, and the final pitch to a jury of investors and founders.
Their idea was to create a grocery shopping assistant so that people could save money and shop smarter. In just a few weeks, they turned an early idea into a working prototype, validating their idea with real customers and stakeholders along the way.
Together, Ifeoma and Ornela won the "Use of AI award", which awarded the best application of AI in a product that affects the daily life of costumers. They say: "We're grateful to Cyber Valley for their support throughout." Beyond the tech, the team built real relationships with fellow founders in their cohort — a stepping stone toward making sure AI is always used for good.
